Database

The Colorado State University Herbarium is one of the few in the country which has developed a database (PICEA) for its collection. At present we have about 50,000 specimens in the database and are in the process of computerizing the entire collection. This database is especially useful for our herbarium management as well as for studies on the status and conservation of rare species, and for systematic, floristic, and ecological research.
